Sago and sweet potato kozukottai

Ingredients :

Sago ( sabudana ) – 1 cup , dry roasted for 2-3 mins and then ground to a coarse powder

Sweet potato -2 boiled and skinned . Then mashed completely

Peanuts – 1/2 cup roasted and coarsely crushed

2-3 – green chillies chopped

Ginger -1 inch grated

Cumin seeds -1 tsp

Mustard seeds – 1 tsp

Coriander leaves -2 tblsp

Curry leaves -few

Grated coconut – 2 tblsp

Oil -1 tblsp

Salt – to taste

Method :

Mix the sabudana powder , peanut powder and mashed sweet potatoes in a bowl and add the ginger , green chilies , jeera and salt .

Add a little water only if needed so as to be able to make balls of the dough . Place them on a greased idli plate and steam for 10-15 mins.

For tempering take the oil , add mustard seeds and curry leaves and a bit of red chilli powder . Now sauté the steamed balls in it .

Garnish with some grated coconut and coriander leaves.

Healthy and yummy kozukottais are ready to be eaten . A good alternative for fast days .
