Pottu kadalai laddoo using jaggery

Pottu kadalai is roasted Bengal gram dal or chutney dal.

Ingredients:

Pottu kadalai -1 cup

Jaggery – 3/4 th cup ( you may change quantity accordingly to sweetness desired)

Ghee – 1/4 cup

Cardamom -1-2 pods

Dry fruits- chopped almonds or any other of your choice and raisins – 1 tblsp

Method:

Lightly roast the dal , let it cool and then powder it in a mixie along with the cardamom.

Transfer to a plate and then add the powdered jaggery and mix them well.

Heat the ghee and add the dry fruits .

Now pour it on the above the mixture and mix them all together.

Now make small balls ( laddoos). You may add more melted ghee if needed .

Your super tasty , easy and protein rich sweet is ready to be eaten.

Tip:

You may use powdered sugar instead of jaggery to make the laddoos.
