Pol in Sinhala is coconut
Ingredients:
Wheat flour -2 cups,
Grated coconut-2 cups,
1/2 teaspoon sugar,
1/2 teaspoon baking soda,
1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon oil,
Luke warm water to knead.
Method:
Take Wheat flour in a bowl. Add grated coconut, salt, sugar and baking soda. Mix well.

Add lukewarm water slowly and knead into a smooth dough. Add oil.Keep the dough aside for 20 minutes.

Then like Roti with a rolling pin make round shape.

Then heat a tawa or pan and cook on one side till light brown . Then turn it and cook on other side.

Remove from tawa. It is ready to serve. No need for any ghee or oil. Serve with butter, pickle or any gravy curry.
