Ribbon pakora

Ingredients:

Besan/ gram flour. 2 glass
Rice flour. 1 glass
Red chilli powder. one and a half teaspoon or as per your taste
Unsalted butter 1 tablespoon
Heeng powder. 1/4 teaspoon
Salt 2 teaspoons or as per taste
Hot oil( any refined like sunflower or corn oil) 2 ladles
Ribbon pakoda achu/ mold/ machine

Directions:

  1. Before beginning the preparations, please keep oil in a kadai on stove. The oil will be hot by the time we mix the dry ingredients. Addition of hot oil makes the snack crispy.
Keep ready a plate with tissue paper on it and a container for keeping the fried ribbons.
  2. Take a big bowl and put all the above ingredients ( except hot oil) and mix them well. Then add hot oil and carefully mix them. Now add water slowly and make a dough – neither too tight nor too sticky. It should be soft.
  1. Make a medium or big size ball from the dough ( depending on the size of the achu/ naazhi) and put it inside the achu.
  2. The oil should not be very hot. Simmer the gas stove and move the mold over the oil in a circular motion. Now keep the flame in High.
  1. When the bubbles stoo, flup the ribbon to the other side slowly and when it is done, remove it in the tissue covered plate.
  2. Crispy and tasty Ribbon pakoda is ready to enjoy with your tea.
