Besan ka Cheela

Healthy, nutritious and easy breakfast- besan ka cheela.

Ingredients

besan 2 cups ( approx 250-300 gms) .Finely chopped onion 1 cup. Finely chopped tomatoes 1 cup. Finely chopped green chillies . Grated ginger 1 teaspoon. Finely chopped coriander leaves . salt 1.5 teaspoon for the above mentioned quantity or as per taste . If you want you can add finely chopped green capsicum, beans, carrots, etc. The choice of vegetables depends purely on one’s taste.

Method

Take a bowl. Put all the ingredients and mix well with hands. Then add water and make it into a batter. Make sure the consistency of the batter is a little watery than the usual dosa batter.


Put tawa on the burner and after it gets a little heated, simmer the burner and pour the batter in circular fashion.Add one teaspoon seasame oil/ ground nut oil/ sunflower oil.The burner should be in simmer all the time. Only then the dosa will get evenly cooked.

Turn it to the other side.
After 2 minutes, it is ready to go to the plate.

Very tasty and healthy cheela ready.
It can be had plain or with coconut chutney/ Onion tomato chutney/ vetha kuzhambu/ milagai podi( gunpowder).
